Terms of service

The agreement between you and us. Plain wording, no clauses designed to be skipped.

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Who you are contracting with

DemurrageCheck is operated by Tigran Avakov, a self-employed individual, Mirzo-Ulugbek 45A, 100007 Tashkent, Uzbekistan. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Tigran Avakov trading as DemurrageCheck, and "you" means the business using the service.

Reach us by email at support@demurragecheck.com.

What the service does

We read the demurrage and detention invoices you send us, compare each with the requirements of 46 CFR part 541 (46 CFR part 541 (eCFR)), tell you which required items or time limits the invoice does not meet, and prepare a letter you can send to the billing party.

The checks are fixed rules. The reading of an invoice is verified against the text of its pages, and an item we cannot confirm is reported as needing data, never as a defect.

What a finding is, and what it is not

A finding is our reading of your invoice against the rule. It is not legal advice, not accounting advice, and not a determination that a carrier, terminal or NVOCC owes you anything. We are not a law firm and we do not collect debts.

We do not contact the billing party. The letter goes to you, and you decide whether to send it, from your company and in its name. We cannot promise that any carrier will accept a finding, cancel a charge or reduce it.

Your account and your data

You sign in with your email and a password; the first sign-in and password resets use a one-time link sent to your email. You are responsible for your password and for keeping access to that mailbox. Upload or forward only invoices your business is entitled to hold. We do not upload invoices for you.

What we store, for how long, and who else handles it is set out in our privacy policy.

Plans, billing and cancellation

The first 10 invoices of a company are checked free. After that you need a subscription, billed monthly or annually in advance. Prices and limits are on the pricing page.

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, which acts as merchant of record and as the seller for tax purposes. Your receipt and your card statement will show Paddle. Their buyer terms apply to the transaction itself.

Cancel at any time in the Paddle customer portal, linked from the Billing page, or by emailing support@demurragecheck.com, and we will do it within one business day. Cancellation stops the next renewal; the current period runs to its end. Closing a company on its settings page cancels its subscription at once; a yearly plan is then handled under our Refund policy. Refunds are covered by our refund policy, which gives you 14 days.

The fee on recovered amounts

While your subscription is active, we charge 10% of the amount a carrier, terminal or NVOCC takes off an invoice, by cancelling or reducing a charge, after a letter prepared in the product, and never on more than the amount that letter disputed. The amounts come from the outcomes you record in the product.

This fee is invoiced by us in a separate invoice, outside Paddle.com Market Ltd.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to attack, overload or reverse engineer it, and do not resell its output as your own service without a written agreement with us.

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules or that is used to process data obtained unlawfully. Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

Availability and liability

We work to keep the service running but cannot promise uninterrupted availability.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or for the outcome of a dispute with a carrier, terminal or NVOCC.

Changes and governing law

If we change these terms materially we will email account holders before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new version.

These terms are governed by the laws of Uzbekistan. Nothing here removes rights you have as a consumer under the law of your own country where those rights apply.
